...the things i do, i can accumulate some manufactured vanity. so, friends, indulge me in a little unabashed hubris.
annapolis ten miler this (hot) morning.
results:
total time: 1:19:45
average pace per mile: 7:58
fastest mile: 7:05 for the 10th and final mile
overall: 631st of 4323 runners (14.5%)
age (a lady never tells): 81st of 343 thirty-somethings (23.6%)
gender (is really more like a construct than the biological determinism of sex): 516th of 2555 menfolk (20%)
all of the above are personal records. whew.
hilly course with a good bit of direct sunlight. fortunately, the good citizens of annapolis get my vote for aiming their garden hoses and lawn sprinklers at us suffering runners. may they reap the reward for the beneficence of their actions. because, my lord, had they not hit us with that water, well, i might have seen more folks unconscious on the side of the road than i did.

and wow for people deliberatly aiming sprinklers at you, here in colorado, we're constantly in a state of drought, so you would not have something so nice here.
